On or about May 24 2008 a individual or individuals vandalized the Warming Shelter on the Trail way East of Maccles. This building was put there over four years ago by the Newfoundland & Labrador Snowmobile Federation and has been maintained by the Terra Nova Trailriders Snowmobile Club. Over those past years this building has been used by Local People as well as travellers on the Trail way, 365 days of the year. It is the property of all trail sticker users, people of Glovertown,Gambo ,Terra Nova and the whole province. Since putting it there people have used it for Warm Up, Lunch Stop, Fund Raiser Cook house and even overnight accommodations.
